Witte Truck Driving School

Persons wishing to enter the exciting world of trucking can take advantage of a program offered by Witte Bros. Exchange, Inc. and Witte Truck Driving School, LC. This is a low cost program that is coupled with the Witte Bros. trainee program to get you on the road to earning an outstanding income. You will enjoy weekly time at home and first year earning potential between $35,000 and $45,000 per year.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years
  • No DWI or DUI in last 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations within last 3 years, with no more than 2 in the last 12 months
  • No more than 1 serious violation in the last 5 years
  • No license suspension in the last 5 years
  • Stable work history and good references from former employers
  • Must live within 100 miles of Troy, MO
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a pre-employment DOT physical, DOT drug screen, and job functioning evaluation
     

Tuition
The tuition fee is a modest $650, which will be returned to you after 2 years of continuous employment with Witte Brothers. To cover the initial low fee, there is a condition of employment for one year of service after successful completion of training.

You will receive a Department of Transportation physical, Commercial Driver’s License learner permit, DOT rules and regulations, log books, map reading, trip planning, and complete vehicle training to prepare you for an entry-level position in the trucking industry.

Class Schedule
Phase One of your CDL training will last approximately 6 weeks. These sessions run Monday through Friday for 6 hours per day. During this phase you will be taught in a classroom environment, learn and hone skills on a driving range, and receive local driving experience as well. At the completion of this phase is the successful passage of the Class A Commercial Driver's License, otherwise known as a CDL. The six week classroom experience is designed to allow students to work in the afternoon or evening to supplement their income until they become employed.

Phase two of your program will be 6 weeks of actual driving over-the-road with qualified trainers from Witte Bros. Exchange, Inc. You will receive $55 per day while driving during phase two of the program. The total training period is a minimum of 12 weeks, which includes 6 weeks of paid on-the-job training.

Pay After Training
After completion of phase one and phase two, you will be dispatched as a solo company driver. The base mileage pay you will receive is as follows:
0 – 6 months 24¢
6 – 12 months 28¢
12 months 32¢
 

After 60 days of solo driving, you will be eligible for health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
